Under the shadow of the Castle on the rock of the peninsula of Panagia, the oldest quarter of Kavala, the house was designated as a work of art (by government law) that needs special state protection.
Built in the late 18th (1760) century, it has typical Turkish architecture, stone foundations and bases on granite rock, wooden beams on the floors and walls and wood curved on the walls.
It is a three-storey building which has been operating since 1980 as a rooming house with references in the international specialised press.
